More than 100 high-profile startups applied for the annual competition
Airside Mobile was honored with an award for innovation at the Phocuswright Innovation Summit on November 13th in Los Angeles, CA. This year, more than 100 startups applied to participate in the pitch-style competition, with 22 selected to present on stage.
Hans Miller, CEO of Airside Mobile, announced the launch of Proof, a universal account platform that allows consumers to share their identity data securely, accurately, and easily with travel providers and other enterprises. Proof is fully compatible with biometric use cases and provides a privacy-by-design solution for accessing and managing reference biometrics.
“We are excited to be recognized by Phocuswright with this award and want to congratulate the other winners, ConnexPay and Sleepbox on their accomplishments,” said Hans Miller. “The level of innovation and talent at the event was inspiring.”
With Airside Mobile’s Proof platform, travel providers can integrate a next-generation identity authentication solution that is compatible with their legacy systems to make the traveler journey more enjoyable, efficient and secure. In addition, Proof assists with GDPR compliance and minimizes the risk of data breaches as information is fully secured and encrypted. For travelers, Proof offers unprecedented control and privacy over their personal information. Travelers own their own data and control the consent and access to their traveler identity with travel providers.
Jeppesen, a Boeing Company, was announced as the first partner for Airside Mobile’s Proof platform, which will enable pilots in the General Aviation industry to automatically populate flight manifests and enable passengers to streamline their entry into the U.S.
The Proof platform builds off of Airside Mobile’s success of its top-rated Mobile Passport App which is used by more than 5 million customers at nearly 30 U.S. airports and cruise ports. Mobile Passport helps travelers save time when they arrive into the U.S. by securely submitting their passport information and customs declaration forms to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
According to Phocuswright, in the ten years that the Innovation Summit has been held, they 1,500 innovators have been screened and just over 300 have been selected to compete. Those startups have gone on to raise more than $2.3 billion in funding, and 45 have been acquired.
